In private arbitration, each party elects an arbitrator. The Arbitration Institute then chooses the chairman of the skiljeråd. The council then settles the dispute; the dispute resolution is settled by the established rules of the arbitration institute. If you elect a private arbitrator, the process becomes much more expedient than if you choose to go to a public court.
